Introducing Ryan Michael James Calone! He was born on June 19th 2012, weighed 7 lbs, 2oz, and measured 21 1/4 inches. Here’s a bit about the new addition to the Calone family from Ryan’s mommy, Melissa!
“Ryan was born at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Dr. Tina Gai and the nurses were fantastic. They took such great care of Ryan and myself.”
“I was scheduled for induction at 39 1/2 weeks because of pregnancy induced hypertension. I had heard from so many people that second babies come very quickly but wasn’t to sure how quickly it would be for me. I had planned on getting an epidural but little did I know….I progressed so quickly(I went from 3 cm to 10 cm in a little over an hour) there was no time for pain medication. Dr. Gai just made it in as he was delivered. They nicknamed him “Rocket Ryan” since he was delivered in under 5 minutes!”
“We didn’t know if we were expecting a boy or a girl…there are very few surprises in life so we wanted it to be a surprise! We were so excited to find out it was a little boy, as was our 2 1/2 year old daughter Isabella. She had been asking for a little brother for weeks.”
“After having my first child, I decided to stay home with Isabella and open a home day care. It was a lot of work but also very rewarding to see the kids grow together and become friends.”
