Remember this adorable couple from the month of May? Well little Sullivan Hugh Harper came early! “Sulli” was born on June 9, 2012. He was just a teeny tiny little man, weighing 6 lbs.
“Sullivan is actually Marc’s mom’s maiden name-so it is a family name! It is also Marc’s middle name-we knew all along it would be his name.”
“Sulli’s birth was fast and furious. Erynn began getting contractions at 10:30 am and he was born 2:50 pm. Our journey started at West Lincoln Hospital but we were transferred rather quickly to St. Catharines General Hospital because he was preterm (exactly 1 month to the day of our due date). He was welcomed to the world by quite the entourage including an OBGYN, pediatrician, midwife, 3 nurses, his proud daddy and auntie (aka the birthing doula). Erynn’s mom was planning on being at the birth but since he made an early arrival his grandparents were still cruising around Europe. Luckily, everything went great and we were able to Facetime them to meet their grandson shortly after. Nanny and Poppy Forbes were able to meet him soon after he was born.”
“We both agree that we were shocked and overwhelmed with love for him. Since he was born a month early and the labour and delivery went so quickly we were in absolute awe that our precious baby boy was already here with us safe and sound. We were also shocked with how much hair he had!”
“He already brings so much joy and laughter to our lives. His funny faces and noises make us laugh out loud all the time.”
“Sulli loved being at the photo session. For the first 5 days of his life he was in an incubator set at 33 degrees. As soon as we entered the studio and felt how warm it was in there we knew he’d be a happy camper. We were worried he wouldn’t ever want to leave the warm and cozy environment.”
“Watching Karen photograph Sulli was an extremely relaxing and positive experience. She was so sweet and gentle, it was amazing to watch it all from the sidelines. After a crazy week of being in the hospital and adjusting to life with a newborn it was an absolute blessing to be able to sit down, relax, and watch my baby boy pose in the cutest positions possible. Thanks again Karen for being so kind to our little prince!”
