Explore The Studio

Welcome To The Reflections Studio!

I'm so glad you're here. It's been quite a while since I gave you a tour of our studio space, and a lot has changed at Reflections since then!

During the pandemic, I was inspired to rebrand my business and reinvigorate my services to make your photo sessions even better. This meant taking a look at my studio, and making it the most welcoming and comfortable space for you.

The Space

My studio in Grimsby, Ontario is designed with you and your family in mind. With natural light, minimalist design and neutral colours, it brings a bright and airy feel to your photos. It's important to me that your family can feel comfortable in the studio, so it's a kid-friendly environment and calming oasis for your family to slow down and relax.

Everything you need for the perfect portrait experience is here: soft music, water to drink, a relaxing atmosphere, and even wardrobe for you to use during the session. The space is created to give you the opportunity to enjoy the time with your family, find connection, and most importantly, be yourselves!

The Amenities

Everything in the studio is there to make your experience easy and stress-free. When we talk about your upcoming shoot, I'll get to know you and your family's needs and help you plan your day.

On the day of your session, you'll be visited by my hair & makeup artist, Christine Edwards, before heading to the studio. She’ll help bring out the very best in you, enhancing your own natural beauty. You’ll exude confidence in your photo session images because you look and feel beautiful.

She’ll also stay to assist me during your time here, so if your hair is out of place, or if we just need an extra set of hands, we’ve got them.

Once you're here, you’ll dress in the clothing we prepared ahead of time from the extensive client wardrobe! The wardrobe has beautiful and timeless pieces for the whole family, including shirts for Dad, so all he needs to do is wear neutral-coloured pants. You won't need to worry about finding coordinated outfits. Your family just needs to arrive ready to dress up!

For your baby, we have simple props and toys to keep them engaged and happy through the shoot. I also provide swaddles and comfy onesies to use during the session.

For your older kids, the studio is filled with photo-friendly toys and books, and there's lots of space for them to play. There are optional props and games to help your kids participate, like cake smashes or bubble baths, or we can keep the time unstructured and organic and let your kids choose how they want to play.

The Studio's Role In Your Session

The studio space and amenities allow me to create a freeing and luxurious experience for your family. With the location, the wardrobe and styling, the toys, and the playtime all taken care of for you, there is less for you to worry about - I know how busy you are, Mama!

The studio is just one aspect of your Reflections session. I strive to help you feel cared-for in all the steps of your session.

  • During the session, I'll help you capture your family's story. My easy-going direction and expert guidance helps your family feel more comfortable while focusing on candid moments.

  • One week after the session, you'll return for the Image Reveal. We'll look through the final photos and decide which ones you want to print together. I'll walk you through options for handcrafted photo albums and framed wall art, keeping your home's space and interior design in mind.

  • When you order framed prints, gallery wall installation is included. I personally come to your home and install it for you, so you don't need to think about measuring the space or hanging the framed art yourself.

Change Is Good!

Your photo session should be about more than just checking a box off your list. It should be about providing your family with much-deserved quality time, luxury care, and professionally captured memories that will be cherished for generations.

When you book a session at the Reflections studio to capture those memories, your family gets reminded that you are all loved and accepted, that you show up for each other each day, and that your story is one of a kind.
