10 Niagara Region Newborn and Parent Resources

New parents need a supportive community.

In fact, my advice for new parents is to arm themselves with all the newborn and parent resources available to them. This beautiful family of three is Dana, Brendan, and their new little bundle, Owen. They're first-time parents, and it got me thinking about the resources in the community that I wish I had known about when I had kids. So, I decided to create a list.

As a Grimsby Photographer and resident, I had a few of my favorite parent resources that I wanted to share with you. I also reached out to my online community to see if anyone had any other ones to add. Boy, did my amazing community deliver! They introduced me to a few incredible resources.

Here is the list that we came up with together. I hope it’s helpful to you!

Supporting Niagara Parents

As a parent of four amazing children, I know how tough the first years can be and how important the right support system is for any family. I hope you found these resources helpful and also consider Reflections Photography to be a resource for parents looking to hold onto these precious moments through full-service photography.

Dana and Brendan are doing great as new parents. They work well as a team and have a strong support system. I was honoured to document their baby’s first official portraits. They chose to start their family gallery wall with their newborn portraits. After Owen’s first-year session, we’ll add those portraits to this wall as well.

Niagara Newborn Photography Testimonial from new mom Dana Canning

Here’s what they said about their time at Reflections:

“We had such a wonderful experience working with Karen for our newborn photos! Being so busy as first-time parents, it was amazing not needing to worry about what we were going to wear for the photos and not needing to worry about hair and makeup.

Karen made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire session and she was absolutely amazing with our little one. We truly enjoyed our experience!” - Dana Canning
