My recent session with Sarah, Michael, and their one-year-old daughter Aria is the perfect example of how I preserve your family memories while also serving you with love and extra special care.
Family Spotlight:
What a magical afternoon it was catching up with his sweet family of three! Sarah and Michael brought Aria to the studio for the first time almost a year ago for Aria’s newborn photography. (Go take a look, it’s always so incredible to see how much a baby changes in a mere 12 months!)
What They Wore:
On the day of the photo session, Sarah was met by our hair and makeup professional Christine Edwards. This allowed Sarah to simply roll out of bed without having to make time in their daily routine to get all spruced up. Christine makes that time all about you so you can feel beautiful and cared for. My clients say all the time that having their hair and makeup done by a professional stylist also helps them feel more confident in front of the camera, which is why I include this option in all your photo packages.
We wanted to capture a really breathtaking light and airy palette for this series. We dressed Sarah in a flowy light grey dress that was easy to move around in and still feel elegant. Aria had a couple of wardrobe changes, from a white lace baby doll dress to an adorable sage green romper. And I just adore these little headbands – they add a perfect touch without distracting from the photos. We kept Dad in a simple, neutral t-shirt and pants combination – how perfect do the three of them look together?
The Moments We Captured:
Aria’s amazing personality is already shining through like a ray of sunshine – we captured so many beautiful moments of wonder, curiosity and fun that she shared with her two favourite people in the world, Mum and Dad. Parents often want to capture the unique bonds forming between each parent and Baby as well so we were sure to capture some father-daughter moments and mother-daughter moments.
I loved capturing Aria’s eyes throughout this whole session – she’s truly in awe and so observant of the world around her!
Aria devoured her cake, and absolutely delighted in her bubble bath after – she had us laughing the whole time!
How they Preserved their Memories:
Sarah and Michael are turning Aria’s one-year photos into some beautiful portraits for their gallery wall in the nursery. I went to their home after their prints came in to professionally install it for them. I also include this in your portrait orders so you don’t have to worry about measuring, designing, and hanging a gallery wall.

Sarah and Michael brought their daughter Aria back to the studio for her one-year milestone photography session this month.
