What To Expect When Working Together

I say that I’m a photographer because that’s the easiest way to describe my work. But, really, I’m in the business of serving busy mamas while we create beautiful family memories you’ll cherish for generations. And that service starts from the very moment you reach out to me.

When I start working with new clients, the process involves having a chat on the phone. Because what I do is so important and personal, I feel it’s necessary to have a heart-to-heart conversation about what you want to achieve throughout the experience. Once you reserve your session, I’ll send you a welcome box of surprises, with a handwritten note from me. I provide wardrobe for the whole family, and offer hair & makeup so you look and feel incredible. We create artwork with your home in mind. Every step through the process is personal, custom to your family.

For me, these personal touches are so important because I remember what it’s like to be a busy mom. In 2010 I brought my fourth baby home to a one-year-old, a two-year-old, and a 9-year-old with ADHD. Having my youngest kids so close together was challenging. It makes me so sad that there are years of my life I don’t remember. Overwhelm was an understatement, and I wish there was someone who provided the services I provide.

I believe all entrepreneurs get into the businesses they’re in for personal reasons. They take the things they’ve learned in life and serve others with their own meaningful elements. Take this moment to reflect on what gestures have meant a lot to you when you’ve worked with other people and brainstorm how you can incorporate something similar into your own business.

About This Beautiful Family

This is Victoria, Michael, and their sweet boys Jacob and Bodhi. They wanted to capture casual, natural images that would look great on the walls of their home. I love the connection we captured between them all, especially in that first sibling portrait.

Client Testimonial

”Karen took newborn photos of our first son and we were so happy with those photos that it was a given we'd return to her to have newborn photos taken of our second son. Karen is very passionate, organized, and professional. She is very detailed oriented and it really shows in the final product. My toddler joined us for the newborn photos of our second son and he was a reluctant participant, but Karen had lots of tricks to coax out his inner ham! Would recommend her services to everyone! Thank you for the fabulous experience Karen!” - Victoria Squissato

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and jumpsuits. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life. I've learned to love and enjoy it through lifestyle photography. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
