  1. What should we wear to our photo session?
Neutral tones are best in the studio and outdoors, that way the focus in on your expressions and connection. I have a wardrobe full of beautiful clothing and I will help you look your best. I also offer complimentary shopping, so if there are some pieces you're in need of, I can send you links to those and you can add them to cart and have them shipped right to your door.

  2. What if our children misbehave?
I don't expect children to be in the mood for a photo session as soon as they arrive. Kids often need time to warm up to new environments and people, so that's what we'll do. I have so many fun things planned to make this experience fun. I'll get to know them a little bit, and we won't rush through it. Soon they'll be having fun, joking around, giggling, laughing and playing. It's very rare that I have to reschedule a photo session due to a child's behaviour, but if we need to reschedule for another day, that's ok with me.

  3. My husband doesn't like having family photos done. Do you have any suggestions?
Yes, give him a hug and tell him that I'm not a sit still and smile photographer. We'll be playing games and chatting, so he won't feel awkward in front of the camera. Remind him that these images we're creating are a gift to your family. Just get him to the session and I'll take it from there. Your family is going to love it, and you'll be the hero that decided to do this in the first place. :)

  4. How long does a portrait session take?
A family session typically lasts one hour, and a newborn session doesn't usually go over two.

  5. Where will the session take place?
The studio and our beach/park locations are both in Grimsby, Ontario. I photograph exclusively at these two locations.

  6. I don't feel beautiful at this time in my life. Should I still come in for a photo session?
Absolutely. I will photograph you from the most pleasing angles so you'll look fabulous in your images. This is also an opportunity to pamper yourself a little, and I can arrange a professional make up artist if you'd like. Moms are so rarely in front of the camera, so please take every opportunity you have to exist in photos for your kids. You'll be so glad you participated, trust me.

  7. How far in advance are you booking portrait sessions?
Please feel free to reach out at any time, but to ensure there is room in my schedule - as far in advance as possible.

  8. Do you use props?
I very rarely use props in my photography as I feel it's important to see family connection in my images rather than objects you're wearing or holding. If you'd like to bring something of sentimental value, I will absolutely use it. If it's important to you, it's important to me.

  9. Will the images be posted online?
Most of my client sessions are posted online, but if you would rather keep your session private, that's completely ok.

  10. What products do you offer?
Glass proof boxes, photographic prints, albums with vintage linen covers, custom framed pieces, canvas and digital image files on USB. Because I believe printed artwork is important and the only way to ensure our children can enjoy their memories one day, I do not sell digital image files alone. They can only be purchased in a collection and those range from $800-2000.
