Sometimes we have to choose to play it safe or take a risk. I took a big risk today! I enrolled in a mentorship with Brittany Elise Photography.

I chose to get out of my comfort zone. I decided to take the risk because even though I’ve spent 15 years building this business, I will always be a student. There is always more to learn.

It isn’t easy to run your own business. There are times when I feel like I’m failing, or just not serving my clients the way they need. I’ve felt really frustrated but I am determined to learn from the best educators this industry has to offer.

And you know what? I am SO excited for what this year will bring!

There's a reason why I'm sharing this with you today. I want you to know that big dreams take a lot of work, and often requires us to push ourselves past our comfort zone. If I can do this, so can you!

Is there a risk you've taken in the past, or one you're thinking about taking now? One that requires you to push yourself outside of your comfort zone? Let's do this together!

This is going to be our BEST YEAR YET!

About This Beautiful Family

This is Aimee, Steve, and their five girls Alex, Ella, Kate, Abby, and Mila. These loving parents really wanted to capture the joy of their family.

There were so many beautiful moments during their session. When we were at Casablanca Beach the girls picked flowers, and stopped to feel the sand as it slipped through their fingers. They built rock towers, and sang songs as we walked up the path. They blew bubbles and held each other close. We created so many sweet memories.

Aimee and Steve chose to create a gorgeous album of their favourite images from the session. You’ll find photos of it below.

If you’re looking to have a family session outdoors, read this blog post all about the best time of year to have your family session. I highly recommend that you book one of these in advance to save your spot. 😊

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “We have had the wonderful experience of working with Karen and Reflections of Life Photography. We have had our family photographed yearly for the past 10 years or so and always been extremely happy with the results. As parents of 5 children, we always say the same thing after what feels like a chaotic time getting everyone happy with their outfit and out the door for pictures. My wife and I look at each other on the drive home and say...

"well, I hope they got something good out of that somehow, the kids were jumping around and we must be a really hard family to photograph!."

Somehow... every time, there are stunning photographs captured of our family and we are always so happy to have the memories and to earmark each year as our children grow. Thank you Karen for always doing your best work and always giving us a wonderful experience from booking our session all the way to the finished product. You are a true professional and a joy to work with.” - Aimee Augustine

Hi there, I'm Karen! I am obsessed with newborn baby yawns, giggling kids, and jumpsuits. I'm a mama of four who understands the busyness of everyday life. I've learned to love and enjoy it through lifestyle photography. I know what it’s like to look back on my children’s first years and feel like they flew by so quickly. I don’t want any other mamas to forget what their baby’s little fingers and toes looked like all curled up. My hope is that I can help you create albums and prints to serve as physical reminders of these sweet times throughout your baby’s early years. Contact me for info.
