I believe in a tangible photography experience, encouraging you to have your artwork printed, whether it be in an album, image box or as wall portraits.  Life is just too short to let those digital files sit in a drawer, or become an obsolete file type.  Your baby and your relationships are worth more that that.  They’re worth preserving.

There is something about gratitude that is transforming. There is something about gratitude that multiplies our hope. There is something about gratitude that shifts our perspective from ‘what we don’t have’ to what we do. It is almost like when we start saying what we are thankful for and when we start seeing the beauty in our lives, we can’t stop. Suddenly, it is everywhere we go.

They loved you since the moment they knew about you and even in the years and moments before. They've loved you in every movement, every kick, every heartbeat.

There is an innocence when you come face-to-face with a baby. You can see it like a song singing through their eyes. It is almost like a purity weaved through every single breath and every flutter of the eyelashes. It is almost like when we meet these little lives that become one of the greatest gifts we ever know, they come out as this brilliant and explosive light.

True beauty is not found in the moments that are posed and forced. True and exhilarating beauty is found in the unbridled and raw moments. You know the ones; the laughter that comes from deep within, the look on your four-year-old as she asks you a question, the love found in your husband’s eyes.

We are writing a love letter to our children with our very lives. Dripping in every single thing we do, in the touch of our hands, with the tone of our voice, from the light in our eyes, inside the freedom in our embrace; we are telling them the story of our love for them. Sometimes love is found in the midst of syllables and pauses, but so often love is found in the every day, in the little things, in the simple. 

Life is one of the greatest gifts and the future can be one of the biggest distractions from our today. Whether we are dreaming or worrying, if we let it, those things can steal from the moment that God has given us right here, right now. And in these now moments are treasure to be discovered. This is where life happens. Here are seven simple reminders that can pull you into your today.

There is this look on the face of a newborn as they sleep where it is almost as if they have surrendered to complete peace. It is almost like in that very moment you wonder if God might be hugging them. And sometimes even as we get older and as we age, as we sleep, we still hold that exact same expression.
